It’s that time of year again; 2018, ripe with opportunity, has finally arrived. In true New Year spirit; we share a few of our team’s “Work Resolutions” that will guide our efforts in 2018.
- Clarise says: strive to learn something new every day.
With the purpose of bettering myself and what I do on a daily basis; I will strive to learn something new at work every day, whether it’s from a technical perspective or just getting to know something new about a colleague. Lastly, learning to pat myself on the back when deserved. Clarise is a Key Accounts Executive at SA Litho Label Printers
- Deon says: strive for continuous improvement.
I will embark on the adventure that is 2018 with the mentality of continuous improvement by practicing simple habits guaranteed to open the doors to success; work hard every day by focusing on the task at hand, first improve yourself before zeroing in on the shortfalls of others and do one thing differently every day to improve outcomes. Deon is a Production Controller at SA Litho Label Printers
- Liesl says: practice compassion.
Compassion increases our sense of meaning at work, not just for the person on the receiving end but also people watching the gesture unfold. Being compassionate improves how we perceive the value of people who are part of our work world, alters the way we view ourselves for the better and helps us to connect with our organisation on a personal level. - Jon says: Don’t count the days, make the days count.
2018 symbolises a do-over, an opportunity to do it all again – only better, with the right attitude and a motivated mindset we will take things to the next level this year. Planning my day in advance will keep me focused on the task at hand, this way I’m guaranteed to go home knowing I achieved something each day – it’s like someone smart once said; run the day don’t let the day run you. - Tina says: Approach every situation with an open mind.
Practicing to be open-minded in 2018 will allow me to be open to new ideas and increase my capacity for flexibility in the workplace. An open-minded outlook on life also means being tolerant, receptive and conveying fair attitudes and actions, in this way I will be empowered to treat every person I encounter with respect, regardless of the circumstances.
