Happy St Patrick’s Day! Did you wake up Irish today? Of course you did. Crank up the green, grab a pint and take a look at our favourite St Paddy’s Day packaging the world over!
Jameson Whiskey
Jameson Whiskey is as Irish as they come – it is the quintessential Irish whiskey after all. Jameson is known for their annual limited edition St Paddy’s Day bottle and this year is no exception. The 2017 edition was designed by Dublin-based designer Steve McCarthy and was inspired by the centuries old Irish tale of “Chance your Arm.”
McStevens Green Hot Chocolate
Raise a toast to the Saint of good times this St Paddy’s day with the Luck o’ the Irish Green Hot Chocolate. Cheekily packaged in a miniature gold-coloured pot, this cocoa flavoured milk powder will delight your inner Irishman as it turns green – just add water! This decedent hot chocolate, crafted by cocoa mix specialists, McStevens based in the USA, is infused with just the right dose of Irish spirit, it will have you toasting to the luck of the Irish all day long!
Pringles
Pringles launched limited edition cans in 2010, this is perhaps one of my favourite St Paddy’s Day inspired packaging of all time. Designed to engage with their fun-loving customer base, the brand celebrated the luck of the Irish and replaced the standard green packaging of their bestselling Sour Cream and Onion flavour with bold and amusing packaging designed to thrill their customers and add to the flamboyant St Patrick’s Day festivities.
Stemilt Growers
Stemilt are going green with Granny Smith apples this St Paddy’s Day. Keep an eye out for the limited edition leprechaun stickers decorating your 5lb “Apple Lovers” pouch bag. The St Patrick’s Day themed bag will promote the vibrant and fresh crop of larger-size Granny Smith apples.
Packaging serves as a brands voice at all times, but it’s over holiday periods like St Patrick’s Day that the brands personality truly comes to life. Our favourite four prove that even the most traditional of brands, like Granny Smith apples, can join in on festive celebrations.
