After 18 months of research and development SA LITHO label printers has successfully reproduced a print result that matches the lustre associated with the conventional bronzing process.

This New Bronze technique is the first step of future bronzing. Being efficient and having shorter lead times, the New Bronze is truly a revelation for the printing industry. This is the only technique that replicates conventional bronze whilst retaining its lustre, where as previous industry efforts opted for acrylic gold as the replacement. With years of experience in the label industry this development adds to SA LITHO’s innovative product offering.

The process has benefits for both our clients and the company. The outstanding quality of the label is one of the key benefits of using the New Bronze. There is no loose bronze powder and thus dusting has become obsolete. This results in a more clean and neat label. Additionally, the process is more environment friendly as it is printed inline and therefore minimizes electricity usage as well as eliminating emissions of the bronze powder. Furthermore, SA LITHO’s clients can now freely express the creativity of their brands with the wider range of bronzing shades offered by the New Bronze. The New Bronze follows the four conventional bronze shades namely: Pale Gold, Rich Pale Gold, Rich Gold and Copper Gold.

Slitting and Rewinding Inspection Units

As a market leader, SA LITHO label printers is continuously aware and focused on all areas of innovation or improvement in our industry.  One such improvement is the recent acquisition of 3 new state-of-the-art AVT Helios II Inspection machines for our Self-Adhesive Division.  The printed label is compared to the original PDF supplied by the client and will detect any defects on the label after all the printing functions have been completed, such as Spots, Streaks, Die-cutting, Register etc. This technology allows us to ensure accuracy of detail not necessary seen when operating a normal manual system.
